And the famous Free Willy or Herman we might call him after his operation has landed in Kerry. He will be transported to our vet Danny Holmes where he will preform life saving surgery. Massive thanks to everyone who donated for his operation esp Sharon Shannon and May Crawford who had you all in stitches with their "save Willys Willy" Im glad it will all end well for him. After he has recovered, he will be up for adoption. We are looking for an understanding home where he will always be safe.

Puppies looking for homes – these seven gorgeous puppies were dumped over the wall in a local garden and thankfully brought to us in AHAR. When we posted their picture earlier this week we got thousands of 'Likes', hundreds of comments but only a couple of firm home offers – so what we really need now is HOME offers.
Please though think carefully before offering one of these gorgeous pups a home – puppies require a lot of time, attention and training. They are not really suitable for families with very young children and they need homes with safe enclosed gardens. Home checks will be needed.
If you are interested in re-homing one of these puppies, please text/phone Georgia on 087 323 1632 (reasonable hours only) or send us a private message through this page.
And of course please SHARE if you know of anyone searching for a puppy. Thank you.

From Cromane, co Kerry.
Please to get this little girl home. Thank you.
Louise O'Carroll's photos
Our dog Suzie is gone missing AGAIN. She's very like the picture shown but a little bit older. She's going blind and is very hard of hearing but is totally approachable and is easily picked up. She was last seen around the Tullahinell South Road (back the line) just off the Ballyline/Listowel Road. It's very cold and very wet and I'm getting very worried about her. Please PM me if any of you see her or hear someone else talking about seeing her. She's gone since 4pm today but we've checked all the usual places so please please keep an eye out. Thanks — feeling sad.

In the early hours of this morning, we got the devastating news that Ronnys father was killed in a crash.
There is no words to express our sadness for Ronny who joined the AHAR team a few weeks ago. But id like to share the email we first got from his proud father, which touched my heart in so many ways but proved to me what I saw in Ronny the moment I met him.
Hello dear AHAR Team
My Son Ronny told me verry exited that he found a place where he is welcome and where he loves it.
I extra opend a Facebookaccount to say thank you.
My Son is somtimes a bit slow but still a constant worker. If he starts something he dosnt stop until he is finished or compleatly K.O.
At least thats how i teached him to be. My brother told me that he already said it to you, but i will offer it is well personally.
If you ever need a Lorrydriver or a Lorry byself, tell it me and i will come over to help you if i can manage it.
My son said you treat him like a God, so i guess that you are happy with his work.
Please fell free to contact me at anytime if something is happen or need. I wil keep looking on Facebook now.
Someone who keeps my son that happy, i will try to keep happy.
My Son is everything for me, i was 6 Years woried that he gets in Troubble and dont know where to go. But now he found a place where he loves it, what ever will happen, Ronny will be on your site.
Once he loves something it is verry difficult to keep him away from that.
I am so glad and happy that you give him what he deserves after 6 Years of Traveling.
If i can make it i try to come over for the 2. February Week, with the rest of my Family, i like to meet that person personally what keeps my son that happy.
Since he was a small kid, he helpt animals on any way. The hardes but for him the best was the rescue of a Horse.
I dont know if he ever told you that storry, but he found once a heave injured Horse and keept standing with that horse in pouring rain and about 0 degreece until we got a crane what took us about 6 Hours to lift that horse carefulle on a Trailer to bring it to a clinic 60 KM away. He was sitting the entire drive on the trailer. He was compleatly frozen and didnt care just wanted to help that animal.
I guess you will be happy with him. Not about that. But he will treat every animal like an god, he just forgotts himself always.
Why i tell you that?
I like to let you know what kind of person he is. He never will let you alone if you or an animal needs the help. I always say my son is crazy about animals, if he had to choose….his or the life of an animal, Ronny would die to keep that animal alife…i guess.
Jesus, my Mail got longer than expectet…sorry.
Keep it up and i look forward to meet you personally.
I have now to drive long 600 Km before i go to sleep.
And thanks once again to give me son a Home.
My heart is broken for Ronny and his family. I just wish there was a way of letting Peter know, I will care for Ronny for as long as he feels happy at AHAR.
From all at AHAR, Peter we love Ronny and want to keep him forever and if he ever chooses to travel again, he will always have his home to come back to here.
So sorry I never got to meet you, but I know where Ronny gets his huge heart.
Sleep well my friend, god must have needed his angel back. Hope your wings carry you where you want to go.

I think I must be mad.
My mother wasn’t horsey – And neither was my dad.
But the madness hit me early – and got me like a curse.
… And I’ve never gotten better. In fact I’ve gotten worse.
I hardly read a paper – but I know who’s sold their horse.
And I wouldn’t watch the news – Unless Mr. Ed was on, of course.
One eye’s always on the heavens – but my washing waves in vain
As I rush to get the horses in – in case it’s gonna rain.
I spend up every cent I’ve got – on horsey stuff for sure
I buy saddles, bridles, fancy boots – and then I buy some more.
I can’t sew on a button – I don’t even try
But I can back a truck and trailer – in the twinkling of an eye.
It’s jeans and boots that I live in night and day
And that smell of sweaty horses just doesn’t wash away.
I ache from long forgotten falls. My knees have got no skin.
My t…oes have gone a funny shape – from being stomped on again and again.
But late at night, when all is still – and I’ve gone to give them hay,
I touch their velvet softness and my worries float away.
They give a gentle nicker and they nuzzle through my hair
And I know it’s where my heart is – more here than anywhere.

Im just about to leave Wexford with these two beauties to their new homes and I swear im sad. Ive had the best few days of my life. Ive never been so happy and ive made friends that have blown me away. I cant wait to come back.
The one thing I cant wait to do is hug Passion and all my animals. There will be so much barking and neighing when I drive in. Nothing like a welcome home party.
Georgia, May and Anny will take over the page tomorrow. They have loads of posts for other animals to catch up on.
Team AHAR who I left at home who looked after the farm, the fundraising and admin, ye did yourselves proud. Thank you for giving me the chance to do this, I must have the best team in the world. Without you I would not be able to go to Wexford.
In truth, I wouldn't trust anyone else with AHAR.
So be ready Tuesday it will be full steam ahead equine rescue. We have more work to do. We have equines and owners waiting to be united. The lorry drivers have said they are going to sleep till then lol. Two of them are still heading North as we speak, Shane and Pat, my heros.
Jo from Hollys… what can I saw about you? Ive never laughed so much in all my life, your one hell of a man to work with. Im proud to now call you my friend.
Little Jodie who runs the yard with Jo is a diamond. She is only 19 and was a huge driving force the last few days. The future of equine rescue is only starting in Wexford with her. Watch this space she'll change history yet or i'll steal her lol.
Good night all my war horses, you did a nation proud im glad I have all of you in my life. I dread to think of what could have happened them without your support.
Good night, heading home xx
