Id like to say thanks for all your help tonight with Lara. What better way to say it… but tell you her story.
Lara came to me twelve years ago.. from a friend who could not make a hand of her at the age of five. She was feral, and not willing to live with the family.
The first day she came, she broke free from his car. Nobody could catch her. She lived at the top of my drive way for many weeks. We would go out and feed her and every time put the food closer.
As each day passed, she became more curious. It took freezing cold weather before she came into the farm. It was a very cold winter and i had been sleeping at the farm to make sure the dogs kept warm as there was no house there.
I had a huge bonfire burning, id a flask of tea and next thing i know she crept up beside me and just lay down. She must have been so cold.
From that moment, Lara became my shadow.
She is eighteen years old… half blind, totaly deaf but the most loyal loving dog you could ever find.
All a dog needs is time… every day ive left with Lara means the world to me. I know i dont have much time left with her but we live every day like its her last. She is so loved and she knows it.
    Good night xx

Lara my 18 yr old has become incontinent. The meds don't seem to help. I was just wondering would anyone on here know something that works that you have tried? The poor old girl acts and looks ashamed. I love every inch of her frail old body and I would rather have her beside me wetting the floor then miss one minute of her life. She has given more to me, than most people you would meet in any life time.

Carole Rees sent us this message. If any of our UK followers know of anyone or any rescue that could help please forward this info to them and please share……lets help these horses get good homes. ……………………………………….Anny

I don't know whether you'd be prepared to share on your page, but a horse stud down here in Cornwall is having to close and needs to find home for 40 horses on Saturday through an auction in Truro. The stud is called Avorek. They can't sell privately now, but they desperately want their horses to good homes, so people will need to go along to buy them. Very sad situation – I don't know, but I think they've lost their grazing.

PLEASE PLEASE SHARE – HELP US FIND AS MANY GOOD HOMES FOR OUR FANTASTIC HORSES AS POSSIBLE

*A heart breaking result of our change in circumstances – if you can provide a home for any our of horses please attend the auction*

After all these years in rescue. When you meet a dog, hear a few pieces of their story… you put the rest together.
So lets give it a try.
Female (around 16/18mnts old) dumped in Cullen village. (Co.Kerry)
She is so afraid, she throws herself on the ground in fear.
Looks like a lab x. Short tail like terrier. (What they do is. As 2/3 week old pups. They chop off the tail to pass the pups off as small breeds. They sell faster at the fairs) So then she started growing bigger and bigger until they didn't get what they wanted so they drove to a village and dumped her.
Then she went door to door begging and lucky for her she found a lovely family who dropped her here tonight.
They called her Cailin. Tonight we change her future.
    Good night from AHAR XX
