I am sorry this took so long as I am not very IT strong.  Need to wait until I had a child of mine come show me how. The cat is Iggy, a shortened version of a Swahili word that means "fierce cat".

MISSING DOG! My baby 'Flash' has gone missing since Monday night (my mam only told me today when I got home). He went off with his sister and mother and then other two arrived back later that night without him. He's a bit of a mix between a lot of odd yokes but he's extremely gentle and timid around new people. If you could share this it would be a massive help as he means the world to me (as you can tell from the way I dress him up ha). Thank you ?

I know each and every one of you will be delighted to join me and the rest of us at AHAR in congratulating our very own Suzanne Gibbons who has been chosen as Calor Gas Local Hero in Kerry for 2013. I know I speak for everyone at AHAR when I say how very proud we are of Suzanne on receiving this award and all of us know how much this will mean to Suzanne and the animals of AHAR.

A huge and heartfelt thank you must go out to our very own Mary Knowles. Mary wrote a beautiful letter to Calor and that letter resulted in Suzanne being chosen as a local hero. Mary, that was a kind and wonderful thing to do.

We have shared in Suzanne's laughter, her tears, rejoiced in her triumphs, felt her pain and grieved with her. We have watched her struggle and do the impossible with such strength and we have seen her gentleness when holding a sick or scared animal. Not one of us could ever live her life and she is so deserving of this award and so much more. Thousands of animals have been rescued from horrific lives and rehomed and thousands more are waiting. Because of Suzanne and her tireless efforts animals in Kerry and all over Ireland have a glimmer of hope.
No matter what time of day or night, what type of animal, if Suzanne is called to a rescue she doesn't hesitate to go. Suzanne never gives up on an animal even when it seems the odds are stacked against her and it is this tenacity of spirit that inspires the rest of us at AHAR and gives us continued strength and hope.

No one can foretell the future but one thing is for sure, with Suzanne holding the reins the future for AHAR seems very bright indeed.

Thank you Suzanne we are honoured to know and work alongside you. ………..Anny

This is the gorgeous little Noah Pilkington (son of the beautiful Irish actress Rachel Pilkington). Noah wanted to become a patron of Ahar so he suggested to his mother that instead of buying him presents for his upcoming 7th birthday party, that all his friends could donate 5 euro towards his patron money instead. Imagine his delight when his target of 100 euro was tripled, and so instead of keeping 200 for himself and still being able to become an Ahar patron, little Noah generously donated all 300 to Ahar. Noah, you are truly such a genuine animal lover.
To quote his lovely mum Rachel, “Noah and his friends all 'danced for the animals' at his party to celebrate all the wonderful work you do xx”. Rachel also sent this lovely photo of Noah.

All we can say is WOW – thank you so much Noah. We really hope you and your family can come to visit us at AHAR and meet all the animals soon! For a seven-year-old to have such a love of animals and to be so selfless is a wonderful indication that the next generation offers plenty of hope when it comes to improving the animal welfare situation in Ireland.
Noah is our youngest patron. Congratulations Noah, we are very honored to have the support of such an amazing little boy.

AHAR gets so much support from so many people and we try to thank as many as possible. We do appreciate every cent we receive and a huge thank you to everybody who has contributed, however big or small, towards either our capital appeal or AHAR's day-to-day running costs. We quite literally couldn’t carry on saving as many animals as we do without your on-going support, financial and otherwise, for AHAR.

If you would like to join Noah in becoming a Friends of AHAR Patron (for a minimum donation of €100), then we would be so grateful. You can become a Patron through the following link – http://ahar.ie/friends-of-ahar-patron/

Ive just sat reading all your comments, tears pouring down my face. I love reading them after an emotional day. Its like getting a giant hug. I love that you all care so much about the animals, and every piece of my heart… AHAR. But most of all I love that I have friends on this page who support what we do with so much passion.
I feel so guilty for bringing you all to tears tonight with me, so i'll post one more photo to make you all smile.
I took this of Passion today, now 572 kg.
Our little war horse. Who beat all the odds to live.
A man once said. To die for your friend is very noble, but to live for your friend is heroic.
Thank you Arion for Passion, the one who gave me a horse to love again xx
