I want to say good night with a present Passion got today for her stable from May Crawford. I broke down crying in her arms when I got it, for the one I couldn't save.
She wrote it herself. It reads…
Crossed the rainbow bridge
18th September 2013
Arion will never forget the day when you met
He felt so honored to become Passions pet
You opened your door and showed him your heart
He will never leave you, from Passion he wont part
You thought him to trust and took away his fears
He is by your side so please don't shed all those tears
His impact was immense, its sad his stay was brief
Leaving such memories to help to ease your grief
You showered him with tenderness, loved him night and day
For the happiness he gave you, forever grateful stay
God called him home so early, much sooner than was planned
Please bear the bitter grief you feel and try to understand
Although your brave boy Arion departed this world of strife
So many other poor animals still need you in their life
God knew how much it hurt you for you to lose a special friend
But Arion is with you still and will be until the end.

Anyone remember Tammy? Her owners drove her to a remote area and dumped her. She waited two weeks for them to come back while a local farmer dropped her food out of pity till we got a call to pick her up.
Well she has had the last laugh. Thanks to Gail from Allsorts dog rescue who found Siobhan Marie White to adopt her. She is so loved now and living a spoilt life.

Another dog dumped on the road left begging for food by his owner who promised him as a pup he was safe.
This seems to now be the norm. Oh how sweet is this tiny puppy? Then the fun wears off when he grows into a collie x and is full of life. Please think! Before you get a puppy. Remember! It will grow. It will be like its parents.
A collie x, needs loads of exercise and when they get bored, they will bark, chase cars and test you to your limit. They are not dogs for everyone. If right now you asked me, what is the biggest problem I see in Kerry. Id answer collies and collie x.
Everywhere you drive, you see a collie. Next thing there is a litter of pups. Next they are free on done deal or the local horse fair. All the kids want one…. until they grow up. Next step…. dumped on the road or the pound on death row. For what? Your mistake? That's not fair and you know it.
Please, as a parent. Think before you say yes to that sweet tiny puppy. You are to set this example to your kids, so we in rescue can change the future. Like your own kids, they grow up to be what time and effort you put into them. A dog is no different.
Lets break the mould. Please THINK before you say yes.

This is Marnie. She was stolen after thieves broke into her owners home, they started to attack the owners husband in front of their daughter with a shovel, we believe the thieves were travellers, marnie was actually advertised for sale by the thieves, by the time we had found her for sale she had already been sold. This now made it harder for us to find her, Marnie is chipped but if the new owner doesn't check for a chip then….
This was two years ago and it shows just how bad dog stealing has become. They will go to any lengths. Marnie is still not in her rightful owners home. Please share so people know how bad it has got.

This little foundling has been named Jaxon, a pure love altogether, just wants to be with someone all the time, I would say ideally an indoor dog, but is good on a lead. Seems ok with other dogs when we go out for a walk and grand with the kids but I'd say prefers the quite life..hates dog nuts! Loves scraps and tuna.
He is a bit nervous of loud noises and sudden movements, but he will make a super companion for some lucky people..
If you would like to give this gorgeous fella a home please phone Oonagh on 0871356940.
And please share as he is not with us.

Just shared this from the PAWS page. Lovely.
Too weary tonight to be upbeat…but we leave you with this thought.
"One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
“Lord, You said that once I decided to follow you, You’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.”
The Lord replied, “My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”
