WELL WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT…..BEN HAS BEEN BOOKED FOR A FABULOUS HOME.

Poor Ben is still on the lookout for his forever home. Please private message us through this FB page if interested.

This is the post we put up about Ben last week –

'So many people visit, but always pass him by. He is 7 yrs old and maybe not as playful as the younger dogs but he is so loving. His big brown eyes would just melt you. He is
great with all animals and loves kids. He never stops wagging his tail.'

At the time of the original post, we had a huge amount of interest in Ben but sadly no home materialised.

So this lovely boy is still on the search for those special people who will bring him into their family and give him all the love that he deserves. You will get it back in spades!

Now, to get a phone call to pick up a puppy of 12 weeks old, this is the last thing I expected to see. The filth was so bad, I was so shocked and to find the puppy hiding under this stool peeing on the floor with fright. I left in silence, I couldn't talk and held her so tight in my arms as I drove home. This poor baby, she cried all the way looking for her mum. Im going back tomorrow to spay her mom at my vets as he will not let me have her but I will make sure she never has pups again. The mom lives inside with him and she does have a better life but again, my hands are tied. I will keep calling every time I pass to keep an eye on her. This is the bit I hate, I would do any thing to have been able to take her too.

Only 4 of the 50 'Shares' are left in our latest Sponsor A Stable Syndicate (all the proceeds of which go towards the purchase of our new permanent premises). So don't delay, get one today if you want to be a part of it!!

We have had an amazing response to our latest Sponsored Stable Syndicate in what will be the isolation unit at our new AHAR Rescue Centre, which we are calling our ‘Isolation and High Dependency Unit – Providing Passion for Life’.

In total there are 50 'shares' available in our new Stable Syndicate (46 of which are already gone) for a donation of €20 each – you can buy one or multiple 'shares' via the following link – http://on.ahar.ie/isolation

This isolation unit will welcome new arrivals to AHAR and will allow us to care for any sick equines separately. It is named after our brave 'War Horse' Passion (pictured here earlier this week having a pick of grass – just look at the progress she has made in her 3 months at AHAR since we rescued her when barely more than a skeleton!!)

That is why the new isolation unit will be so vital – to give us the best possible chance of saving many more horses, ponies and donkeys at the new premises. Hopefully, Princess Passion’s amazing transformation will serve as an inspiration to all the future sick and injured equines (and indeed all the other animals) that come into our care.

Today Dinny met his new Mammy. I just love this photo. When Dinnys photo went up to look for a home, I fell for Shannen after reading her comment. I knew this would be his new home and after we spoke on the phone I was sure she was the best home he would get. She was just so lovely. I was so excited to deliver him today, he is made for life. It is the perfect home. Shannen and Richard have a little pony called Tilly who is their princess. Shannen had chocolate cake ready, she raised 50eu for a share in the stables and gave us 40eu for diesel. How generous. Shannen and Richard thank you so much xx

These two dogs were found in Duagh, Abbeyfeale area. Female boxer and male boxer cross. They are safe now in a shed but they can't be kept by the finder. If you recognise them please phone 0872816972 and share thank you.

This isolation unit will welcome new arrivals to AHAR and will also be used to keep any sick equines separately. It is of course named after our incredible brave 'War Horse' Passion (pictured here back on June 9th, the day after she came to AHAR, when a wonderful group of volunteers stayed up with her throughout the night).

Passion’s amazing transformation in the past months, from an emaciated horse given only a 20% chance of survival by the vets as she was initially too weak to bear her own weight – which was just 210kg – to the gleaming beauty she is today now able to stand proudly in the fields, will hopefully serve as an inspiration to all the future sick and injured equines (and indeed all the other animals) that come into our care at the new premises.

We will list all donors when the Syndicate is full and of course all proceeds go toward the purchase of the new premises for our permanent AHAR Rescue Centre. Thank you!

Wahoooooooo!! We're up to 18,000 Facebook 'Likes' now.

It's amazing to think that we have the support of so many – thank you so much for caring and sharing.

Onwards and upwards to 19,000 for Team AHAR!!

So please keep spreading the word – the more people we have on board, the more dogs, horses & other animals we can save….

This is a lovely photo taken at the weekend of the human, canine and equine faces of AHAR!!

In the foreground is the wonderful Mary Knowles, who along with her husband Pa, are two of AHAR’s staunchest supporters and most dedicated volunteers.

Mary is getting a typical Dottie Lottie mucky paw welcoming hug – anyone coming to AHAR is warned to bring old clothes because Dottie doesn’t discriminate, smothering all visitors with hugs!

And of course in the background is Princess Passion (look at her posing for the camera like the diva she is!) taking her devoted slave Suzanne for yet another walk!!

Transport help needed to get Buster from Galway to Wexford

Some time ago we put up an appeal for a new home for the gorgeous Buster (a pug cross) pictured here.

Sadly his first trial home didn’t work out, but thankfully there was a waiting list for this handsome fella and he now has a home booked in Wexford.

However transport help is needed to get him from Galway to Wexford. If you could assist, please call Ciara on 086 0561186

Is there anybody going in that direction even part of the way?
