Good night from AHAR, Passion and Arion.
This photo is what AHAR is all about. Never forgetting why we do what we do…. trying to save as many as we can, but most of all just giving the animals that fairy tale ending they have always dreamed of xx

This is the stunning Duke. He is a springer/collie. 12 mnts old. He is just waiting for the perfect home to adopt him. Beautiful dog with all animals but will chase cats. He just needs his own family to take him on long walks in the country.

Benny is new from Kerry pound. He is just a bag of bones. He is too thin to neuter yet and needs to put on weight but now after 7 days of tlc he will walk on a lead. At a guess Benny has been to hell and back. He still wets the floor when you rub him. His sad eyes burn into your soul. Is anyone free to foster him or even with the view to adopt him? We will pay all his vet/feed bills and when he is ready, we will neuter him. He loves all animals and children. He really needs a quiet home to recover from his past life. He is only 12 mnts old.

If you remember, we got two ex bait dogs out of Cavan pound a few months back. Well one got a home straight away but poor Prince is still waiting to find his. He was bald with mange and covered in scars when we got him. Now he is fat with a beautiful coat and all his scars are healed. The problem is… when people call to see our small dogs to adopt them, everyone walks by his kennel. Its so sad to watch him now. He doesn't even raise his head anymore unless you open his door when he knows hes going for a walk then, he never stops wagging his tail. Surely there is someone out there that would see beyond his broken heart and give him a home? I am willing to drive anywhere in Ireland with him.

This chunky little fella is looking for a new home. He loves other dogs but gets a bit bossy in the home so would need a home of his own. But he loves people. Is vaccinated, neutered, house trained and crate trained, has great recall and is great on the lead.

He is in Wicklow, and this is the number if interested 0857084055.

There will have to be a homecheck.

This fluffy bundle of joy is Shadow. He is looking for a new home, because the foster carerer has not enough room to keep him. He is vaccinated, neutered and wormed and house trained.

He is fine with most dogs but gets on better with calmer small ones. He would be good with bigger children as he can get bossy. He loves cuddles and loves snuggling to watch the tv in the evening. He is good on the lead and loves long walks.

He is NOT at ahar but in Co Cork. If interested please phone Martina on 0877682654. But only genuine owners please. Thank you and please share.

UDATE HE IS BACK WITH HIS OWNER NOW. BRILLIANT.

PLEASE SHARE TO HELP FIND JAFFA!

This beautiful Staffordshire Bull terrier boy has gone missing in the Athboy Area.

Jaffa went missing around lunchtime today from a secure fenced garden, so is presumed STOLEN, especially as he is a very insecure dog and doesn't believe in exploring by himself.

If you have any information, please phone Tina on 085 – 1487974 – Tina is a great supporter of AHAR so please help her now in her hour of need. Thank you.

Just 8 more Friends of AHAR Patrons needed to reach 250!!

The Friends of AHAR Patron scheme has been one of the bedrocks of our fund-raising towards the Purchase Fund for our permanent new AHAR Rescue Centre (30 acres of land and great outbuildings including an indoor arena and 28 stables).

You can become a Friends of AHAR Patron by making a donation of €100 or more through this link button – http://on.ahar.ie/patron

AHAR has Patrons from all over the world, including France, Germany, Holland, the US and Australia, plus virtually every county in Ireland and Britain is represented! To date we have 242 Friends of AHAR Patrons, the most recent being Susan Tait in Yorkshire, England; Karen Day in Sussex, England: Jacqueline Reidy in Clonmel Co Tipperary & Victoria Ryans in Tandragee, Co Armagh.

So, if you haven’t already done, please help us to reach our target of 250 Patrons by signing up (with a group of friends or family even) as a Friends of AHAR Patron – thank you!

If you wish, you may record your Patronage in memory of a deceased relative or pet (just leave a note when making the donation). All Patrons will be acknowledged on our Patrons Wall which will be located in the reception area of our new property.
