Last Chance to enter our prize draw for a stunning portrait of your pet!Just a final reminder that tomorrow evening (Sunday 18th August) we will be holding our prize draw for you to win a stunning pet portrait (retail cost of up to €150) – it could be of your own pet or a special gift for a pet owner you know.
Tickets for the draw cost €10 and you can buy as many as you like via the following link – http://on.ahar.ie/hartnett
The lucky winner will get their pet portrait done (in the style of their choice) by Irene Hartnett of Real Appeal Portraits. You don't have to live locally as she can do the portrait from your favourite photos of your pet. Check out Irene's fab work on her website http://realappealportraits.com/ including dogs, cats & horses. This is a dog portrait of hers.
As well as the first prize, there are two beautiful framed pet prints worth €100 each as 2nd and 3rd prizes. So it's a draw not to be missed and of course all proceeds will go towards the purchase of AHAR's new permanent home!

Climb Carrauntoohil for AHARWe are very grateful to Majella Leahy who is organizing a Sponsored Climb of Carrauntoohil on Sunday 15th September, with all the proceeds to go directly to the AHAR Capital fund for the purchase of our new premises.
Carrauntoohil (pictured here) is the highest peak in Ireland. Located in County Kerry, it is 1,039 metres (3,414 ft) high and is the central peak of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks range. Guides have been arranged for the day, there are well walked routes to follow and if the weather is kind, the scenery will be stunning.
This event is not being organized directly by AHAR so if you have any queries or require further information about the event, then please contact Majella directly by email at majellaleahy@hotmail.com or text/phone on 0851494012, and she can also provide sponsorship cards.
If you would like to sponsor those going on the climb, you can use the following link – http://on.ahar.ie/carrauntoohil
So get your climbing boots on, raise some sponsorship and enjoy a wonderful day walking up Ireland’s highest peak!
