Wonderful update on two dogs i loved so much it broke my heart saying good bye.
Two years ago today. Karen Cupit adopted Dinny.
I sent Dinny to the UK to Cindi of Rushton dog rescue to find a home. But the catch was, whoever adopted him had to adopt his brother who was waiting for him in Ireland.
Both these dogs were chained in a farmers shed with years, never saw daylight and lived on bits of scraps. They were just bags of bones covered in sores. The day I took them, they nearly ate me alive. All I got was teeth and growling. After an hour of trying I finally got them loose. It was so hard to free them being so aggressive as the skin was stuck on their chains. We rushed them both to the vet and had some fight trying to hold them down to treat their wounds. But slowly they began to trust me, step by step as I trained them. I swore they would never be apart and we would find the perfect home.
Well thanks to Cindi who found Karen. All my dreams for both dogs were answered. The day I said good bye to Dinny I never cried so hard in all my life. I had put months of training and so much love into them i had got so attached .But then I had to say good bye to Miley so he could join his brother with Karen, it nearly killed me. I just kept bursting out crying for days.
Its two years later, and I still burst out crying when Karen sent me this update. Sometimes there is animals you save that just hold your heart forever. These are two of them.
Karen will send another update on the 20th of Miley when she adopted him and both were reunited xx

Hi everyone, this gorgeous 2 year old lab was found on Ballybunion beach about 6 weeks, ago no tag or chip. He is fab but the man who found him has so many animals myself he can't keep. He is neutered and vaccinated etc. House trained, good on the lead and great with other animals. So who could give him a new home. He sounds the very best of dogs and comes all ready also.

This dog has now found his forever home with a couple in limerick who's old lab died a while ago. So great news .

The running costs of AHAR are huge, and this will keep us going for about nine days. So its really important to remember to keep those fundraisers going to help us.
This is just one bill, as you know we have many others.
If you could donate or sign up to our 3eu a month we would be very grateful. Thanks to everyone who donates, as you can see it saves so many lives xx
