    Update on the princess Passion.

Tonight she's back on form. Fighting fit. A few new war wounds, but all healing again. Tomorrow we are planning on taking her for a long walk to the woods. We should get some nice photos.

Anny, Ian and Liam bring River from the vets to AHAR.
The story so far. He has a chip but in the breeders name. He's called frat boy Jack. His wounds are healing well and he is in good form here tonight.
But. Is there any chance he's stolen or lost?
Could you please share this post far and wide and lets see what we can find out. Surely someone saw this beautiful dog before.

ROCKY THE PUG Sponsored Stable Update – Just 24 spaces left in Rocky's Stable Syndicate (26 already gone!!)

24 “Stable Shares” available for a donation of €20 each are available in the ‘Rocky The Pug Stable Syndicate’ – just log on to http://on.ahar.ie/rockysyn to be part it. You can take one "share" or multiple “shares”, it’s entirely up to you. We will list all donors when the Syndicate is full. All the money raised from this and our other Stable Syndicates will go towards the purchase of the permanent premises already identified for the new AHAR Rescue Centre.

When we launched the Rocky the Pug Syndicate, we put up a picture of him looking so sad and sorry for himself when he first came into AHAR. He had been rescued by an incredibly brave teenager who took him from a premises where he saw Rocky being left in a state of terrible neglect after suffering horrific injuries at the hands of other dogs (quite possibly after being used as dog fighting bait).

Poor Rocky arrived at AHAR in a shocking state, full of injuries and infections. His jaw was broken, his teeth were hanging out, one eye was terribly infected and he had countless other injuries. The stench from his infections was vile. Rocky came through several operations – having many teeth and his infected eye removed and undergoing major reconstructive surgery on his jaw.

This picture shows Rocky just two weeks after he came in – as befits his name, he bounced back incredibly quickly and he is now a very happy, one-eyed Pug living in a wonderful forever home, getting fat and being spoiled as he deserves.

So please donate to join the 'Rocky the Pug Syndicate" – so that his story will be forever commemorated on a Stable at the new AHAR to serve as an example to others that they shouldn't ignore the plight and suffering of defenceless animals but instead hopefully be inspired to show the same courage as the selfless teenager in Rocky's case. And to remind visitors of AHAR's ethos that every animal should be given a chance and, if they have the will to live like Rocky, they can go on to enjoy a wonderful, happy life – even after the most horrific of abuse and neglect.
