Just 15 Spaces Left in the Bonnie & Clyde Stable Syndicate (2)

As the photo shows, we are delighted to report that Bonnie & Clyde have quickly kissed and made up – and are now the very best of friends again. We knew their tiff wouldn't last for long! It was of course Clyde (the dog) who licked the incredibly sore wounds on Bonnie's back to ease her pain after she had boiling water poured over her & he has vowed to always protect her – even if her name does come first!

As many of you are aware, we are currently fund-raising to buy a permanent future home for AHAR. Our new Rescue Centre is a former Equestrian Centre with 30 acres of land including a Stable Block, arena and outbuildings. As part of our fund-raising drive we have made the 28 existing stables available for sponsorship (life-time sponsorship with a plaque on the door for a once-off donation of €1,000). 17 of the stables have already been sponsored and 11 are still available.

35 of the 50 'shares' are already gone so we are now just looking for 15 more people to donate €20 or more through the following link http://on.ahar.ie/clydebonniesyn

Bonnie & Clyde – help us to resolve an argument between them!

You would think that Bonnie & Clyde – the closest of friends who looked after each other when boiling water was poured over them in an act of evil, who minded each other's backs when they had to scavenge from the streets for food to stay alive, and who plagued the vets as they were getting treatment to ensure they were kept together at all times – would be delighted at the AMAZING NEWS that in less than 24 hours we have raised the €1,000 which will mean a stable will forever be named in their honour at the new AHAR Rescue Centre – thank you so much to everyone who donated and especially to Maeve McSwiney who got us over the finishing line. We will as promised list all the contributors later on.

But would you believe it – they have had a falling out over who is the most popular because Clyde (the dog) says that he is fed up with Bonnie (the cat)'s name always going first!! And he wants there to be a 'Clyde & Bonnie Stable Syndicate' as well!!

Whilst they both look stunningly beautiful in this photo, this is in fact them having a 'domestic' as normally Bonnie would be sprawled all over Clyde's back! We don't want the row to get any worse between them and so we need you to help restore Clyde's self-esteem by sponsoring a 'Clyde & Bonnie Stable Syndicate'.

The FANTASTIC NEWS is that we got so many donations in for the original stable that we already have 25 of the 50 shares sponsored in this second stable for Clyde & Bonnie! If you want to read more of the story of their incredible bond, here is the link, http://ahar.ie/bonnie-clyde/ while you can also see a video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ-t3AGO2zI

So there are just 25 “Stable Shares” at a minimum donation of €20 each left available in the ‘Clyde and Bonnie Stable Syndicate’ – just log on to http://on.ahar.ie/clydebonniesyn to be part it. You can take one "share" or multiple “shares”, it’s entirely up to you. We will list all donors when the Syndicate is full.

    Hope you can help!

A few days ago, a lady called Jeananne Crowley made a remark on this page that she did not get a fast enough response from AHAR.
Oh poor Jeananne got eaten alive by all our loyal supporters including myself as I adore and respect my AHAR volunteers.
Today I got a beautiful hand written letter in the post from Jeananne (Her hand writing in calligraphy pen was so perfect)
Explaining she was upset about other things in her life and lashed out at the wrong person.
Well Jeananne I have so much respect for you to take the time to apologize esp after reading your heart felt letter.
I think you need to pack a bag and come to AHAR for a week and get a break. You would be very welcome here.
Jeananne also sent a 200euro donation. There was no need but we are very grateful. Thank you.
To receive a letter like this means a lot to me. You really impressed me Jeananne, xx

  • 'Bonnie & Clyde Stable Syndicate' – just 20 of the 50 spaces left!!

    Yesterday…

'Bonnie & Clyde Stable Syndicate' – just 20 of the 50 spaces left!!

Yesterday we launched a Sponsor a Stable Stable Syndicate to commemorate the remarkable story of Bonnie & Clyde at our new premises which we are currently fund-raising to purchase.

30 of the 50 'shares' are already gone so we are now just looking for 20 more people to donate €20 or more through the following link http://on.ahar.ie/bonniecyldesyn – it will mean their names will be forever commemorated at the new AHAR Rescue Centre.

Bonnie the cat and Clyde the dog had both suffered horrific third degree burns caused by being being deliberately scalded with boiling water when they were rescued by AHAR, after being found wandering the streets together scavenging for food. It quickly became clear that they had helped each other to survive by sticking together through thick and thin, with an incredible bond between them. At the vets, when they were first getting treatment, they refused to be separated at all, screaming in canine and feline protest until the vets gave up the unequal struggle and allowed them to recuperate in a cage together!

And the incredible bond persists until today – as this photo shows with Bonnie preferring Clyde's head to the soft, comfy bend in the wonderful forever home where they now live! The amazing story is recounted in more detail here – http://ahar.ie/bonnie-clyde/

16 of the stables have already been sponsored and 12 are still available.

So please help us to secure our 17th stable sponsorship to honour the wonderful story of Bonnie & Clyde – which shows that animal's compassion for each other can overcome horrific human cruelty.
