Who would have thought I would be saying good night with a photo of Passion looking so well after just 17 days of care.
I am the luckiest girl in the world to have found her to share My Dream of AHAR.
AHAR is not just my childhood dream anymore and I think like Passion its galloping home…

FUND-RAISING UPDATETom here – unfortunately for personal reasons I am unable to continue my work with AHAR so this fund-raising update will be my last post.
At the start of June we set ourselves the following targets for the month….
1. To reach 13,500 “likes” – we are currently over 14,200 (when you consider that in March we had just over 8,000 “likes” we have come a long way).
2. To reach 190 Friends of AHAR Patrons – we are currently at 210
3. To bring the fund-raising total to €62,500 (at 31st May we were at €50,710) – right now we are at €62,445 and will for sure reach our target in the next few hours if not minutes.
Thank you for your fantastic support and generosity. It has been a mad, frenetic 6 months for me and – considering the fund-raising campaign for the new Rescue Centre only started on March 1st – to reach €62,500 in just 4 months is incredible and gives me immense satisfaction. I hope you feel that I have made a positive contribution to AHAR in relation to the journey to the new Rescue Centre. It saddens me to step aside but life often throws a spanner in the works and new challenges lie ahead for me.
Thank you for your fantastic support along the way, cheers and God Bless all.
Now over to my good friend Jason….
Jason here – Tom is leaving behind huge shoes to fill and I know that it will be impossible for me to match his incredible efforts. Your contribution has been immense Tom and I thank you most sincerely – it has been a pleasure working with you on the capital appeal. And hopefully we can now kick on and build on the huge amount already raised – to achieve the dream of a new AHAR Rescue Centre.

Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”

Thanks to all our friends of AHAR for your support over the last two weeks for Passion. I think we all loved living her fairytale.
Today she turned another corner. She knows she's home to stay xx - SPONSOR A STABLE FOR BONNIE AND CLYDE
Many of you will be aware of the initiall…
SPONSOR A STABLE FOR BONNIE AND CLYDEMany of you will be aware of the initially sad, but ultimately hugely uplifting story of Bonnie (the cat) & Clyde (the dog).
They were found straying and this photo shows them when they were being rescued. They had both experienced unbelievable cruelty with boiling water having been deliberately poured over them, causing third degree burns. Clyde would constantly lick the horrible scar burn on Bonnie's back – it was just amazing to watch.
And what soon became apparent was the incredible bond between them. When Ark vets were treating them for their horrific wounds, they refused to be separated at all, howling and screeching in protest. The poor vets didn't stand a chance! They had to put both on the treatment table together and keep them in the same cage together – they were literally inseparable then and they are still to this day in a wonderful forever home with Ruth Collings. We'll post more pictures of their wonderful story later but the full tale is recounted here – http://ahar.ie/bonnie-clyde/
So, we are now launching a 'Bonnie and Clyde Stable Syndicate' – following demands from many of their fans that they should be recognised at AHAR's new premises in the same way as Passion and Romeo and Juliet. Many thanks to all who have proposed them and especially Tracie Powell who became the founder member of their syndicate with a generous initial donation. This will mean that the story of Bonnie & Clyde will always be commemorated at AHAR as testimony to the wonderful bond that can exist between the most unusual of animal bedfellows (in their case quite literally!)
As many of you are aware, we are currently fund-raising to buy a permanent future home for AHAR. Our new Rescue Centre is a former Equestrian Centre with 30 acres of land including a Stable Block, arena and outbuildings. As part of our fund-raising drive we have made the 28 existing stables available for sponsorship (life-time sponsorship with a plaque on the door for a once-off donation of €1,000). 16 of the stables have already been sponsored and 12 are still available.
So now we are asking all those who were touched by Bonnie and Clyde's amazing love and support for each other to help save the lives of many more dogs and cats in the future by becoming a member of the new ‘Bonnie and Clyde Stable Syndicate’.
50 “Stable Shares” at a minimum donation of €20 each are now available in the ‘Bonnie and Clyde Stable Syndicate’ – just log on to http://on.ahar.ie/bonniecyldesyn to be part of the Syndicate. You can take one "share" or multiple “shares”, it’s entirely up to you. We will keep you up to date and list all donors when the Syndicate is full.

She dragged Ian and Liam up and down the lane today. It took all their strength to hold her, she even started trotting lol. I was screaming hold onto her don't let go. I thought I would have a heart attack in case she would fall. I have explored every emotion possible in the two weeks of my life with Passion.
Tonight I can now say I saw a huge difference in her.
The little war horse has faced death and galloped by. She knows where she's going and has no intention of giving up till she gets there. - Today was the first day Passion could stand in her stable for a few hours on her…

As some of you know 3.G crashed today so I have not been able to connect to the internet. Thanks to Anny and Liam who invited me to their house to use the net. (Poor souls will be up all night lol)
To marc Jones thank you so much for all the time and love you put into making her video. You had me in tears too.
Thanks for all your lovely encouraging comments. Passion is the real star of the show. She never ceases to amaze me every hour of every day.
She has fixed my broken heart.
But to all the volunteers who did and still are taking turns to help me you are heros.
I will be posting todays updates now. Sorry they are so late xx
