This video is dedicated to Passion our little warhorse who beat all the odds….. to live and a nation fell in love with her.

Passion was left to die. Emaciated, and dying of malnutrition. Seven hours we spent on her rescue mission to get her to safety. This amazing little horse faught day and night to live.

A team of volunteers from AHAR spent 24/7 with her to show her she was loved and to never give up the fight. She didn't, and she made it.

We are still all walking on a long road to recovery with her but we would like you to share this video far and wide to expose the effects of the recession on Irish horses and most of all, to prove they can be saved, all you need is enough love in your heart.

For updates on Passion please visit our Facebook page http://facebook.com/ahar.ie
To donate please visit http://ahar.ie/donate no matter how small, every donation goes a long way to saving so many animals.

    AHAR is 100% volunteer run.

Romeo and Juliet (pictured here shortly after major operations to repair their horribly disfigured faces – with Tina and her lovely son Liam) have asked us to pass on lots of paws, tail wags and licks to everyone who contributed towards sponsoring a stable on their behalf. This means their names will forever be commemorated at the new AHAR premises and rightly so – as examples of how the love of those who care can overcome horrific abuse and neglect.

A huge thank you to the Fabulous Fifty who donated towards the 'Romeo and Juliet Syndicate Stable' – Nicola Lynch, Michelle Gaul, John Pender, Tracie Powell, Hazel Acton, Tina Healy, Ammelle Fleming, Aoife Keehan, Kirsty Lowman, Dympna O'Carroll, Sharon MacMahon, Rochelle Gregory, Marion Tuohy, Toni Mannell, Samantha Holdsworth, Els Cameron, Eloise Loughnane, Deborah Byrne, Ruby O'Brien, Ramona Morris, Nicola Totten, Linda Moore, Maureen O'Shea, Aoife Conway, Karen Smith, Catriona donnelly, Marie galloway, Kate O'Donoghue, Hetaher Knowles, barbara Cotter, Nora Burke, Mary Morrissey, Evan Morris, Andrew Murray, Julia Murray, Evonne Walker, Ann Marie Leizcyneski, Catherine O'Leary, Stella Porter, Lynda Norgrove, Catherine Hyatt, Linda Godley, Gina Archibold (and on behalf of her mum, Pamela Archibold, Dean Dempsey, Peg, Julie and Lillie May).

And last but most importantly, a huge thanks to Jean Rowan who set the ball rolling by suggesting the Syndicate for Romeo and Juliet late one night (or early one morning!) when the last one for Passion was full, and then set the ball rolling with a €100 donation – look how much you act of kindness has brought in Jean!

We are so grateful to you and all our supporters.

A BIG THANK YOU FROM PASSION AND SUZANNE

Princess Passion and Princess Suzanne (!) are both feeling like queens at the moment because of your kindness and generosity in sponsoring the 'Friends of AHAR Passion Syndicate in memory of Christy Gibbons RIP' – Suzanne's father and inspiration.

It is wonderful and highly appropriate that Christy's name will be for ever etched into AHAR's future home.

We promised to list everybody who joined the Syndicate by donating €20 or more for a share (all proceeds going to the purchases of our new premises for AHAR) so here hopefully is everyone with apologies in advance for any mis-spellings or omissions – Passion's hoof-writing isn't always the clearest!

Our thanks to Raychael McNamara, Philippa Banks, May Crawford, Sue Barclay, Ann Phelan, Pauline O'Brien, Lou O'Leary, Raeleen McKenzie, Elizabeth Sullivan, Tom Brannigan, Kat Alison, Caroline Ryan, Carol McGirr, Carol Stephenson-Carty, Irene Ellard, Julie Angland, Catherine O'Leary, Sara Higgins, Geraldine McCarthy, Ann Landers, Susan Johnson, Monika Kucha, Mary Bourke, Teresa Winter, Bernie Gogan, Edy Mattia, Anette Roche, Fiona Shackleton, Sheila Reck, Ramona Morris, Mary Knowles, Pa Knowles, Ted Cronin, Honor Heffernan and Liam O'Brien. And last but not least Suzanne's sister Donna and many other members of the extended Gibbons family.

We of course appreciate every donation that comes into AHAR and thanks to all of you who have contributed. Whatever the size of the donation, it is a validation of our work and it means a lot. Without your continued support we wouldn't be able to save as many lives as we do. And for that everyone at AHAR – and the 1000's of animals we rescue every year – are eternally grateful.

There are just 2 spaces left in our 'Romeo and Juliet Stable Syndicate' so if you would like to become one of the last two members (for a minimum donation of €20), the link is here – http://on.ahar.ie/stable.

Or you can become a Friends of AHAR Patron for a minimum donation of €100 through this link – http://on.ahar.ie/patron
(again all proceeds go to purchase the new premises).
