Great news, for the animals of a closed pound.
As many of you know. We shared a recent post where we saved five equines from a closed pound in Ireland. One being the famous little May. Born as we walked in. A closed pound is a pound who collects stray animals and unless you ring them, own the animals and pay to get them back……. - A big thank you to Catherine Cournane who donated a beautiful large dog bed to u…

YAHOOOOOOOOOOO we have a bag pack in Garverys Supervalue in Castleisland on Saturday 8 June. This is a really busy shop so we will need as many as we can get. Please if you can't help financially then you can help this way. Even for an hour or less gives us a break. Thank you all . XXX – Georgia.

I think when we move AHAR for the last time to its permanent residence. We will need plenty of these seats, for all the friends of AHAR to sit and dwell on the history we created together as a team. A seat that will collect memories itself over the next few years of people visiting… adopting an animal…. or just taking a break from reality to ponder on life with all the animals around them.
Though your pocket might be empty and your clothes very light. Your thoughts are clear and the world is yours to love xx

For those of you new to our page…we are fund-raising for a new Rescue Centre and we have placed a deposit on a former Equestrian Centre with 30 acres of land and lots of outbuildings including a Stable Block and Arena. As part of our fund-raising drive we have made the stables available for sponsorship.
Sponsor a Stable…..our great supporter Honor Heffernan last week pulled together 50 friends and family who each contributed €20 to raise the €1,000 required to sponsor a stable in the new Rescue Centre. Over the past week a number of people have been in touch wanting to be involved in a similar “syndicate” so that they too can contribute towards a stable sponsorship. As a result we have decided to set aside a stable to recognise and honour Sam the Labrador – who was AHAR’s first Rescue Dog from a Pound – Sam is still going strong, he is now 18 years old and we feel it an appropriate gesture that he be remembered in this way.
50 “Stable Shares” at €20 each are now available in the “Friends of AHAR Syndicate honouring Sam the Lab”, just log on to http://on.ahar.ie/stable to be part of the Syndicate…you can take one "share" or multiple “shares”, it’s entirely up to you. We will keep you up to date on progress.
