I just love this photo. Little Liam and May today made great friends.
The mom we have called June. I will be looking for a home that will keep them together. She is three years old. She is the best moms ive seen. She loves May to bits. Beautiful feeling just sitting in their stable today watching them. A fierce sense of peace and pride.

Tomorrow morning he will be operated on at the Art vets. He will have his broken ribs removed. His eye removed. Neutered. His teeth removed (at least six) and his jaw wired. The minimum the vet bill will be is at least 800euro. That's with nothing extra going wrong. If anyone could help with his bill i would be very grateful. You can phone the Ark vets on 0646636644 or paypal www.ahar.ie
Thank you. Please say a prayer all goes well. We will also need a foster home as he will need 24hour care. If anyone can help, please ring Georgia 0873231632

Here his jaw is broken and hanging off. His teeth are only hanging by a bit of skin. Its the smell of rotting that got to me. How could you leave a dog suffer in this state???

This little pug has a broken jaw, hanging off. All the teeth on his left side hanging out. The smell from his mouth made us puke. A broken rib, his eye needs to be removed and his neck was torn to bits and healing now and had no treatment. These injuries are at least two weeks old. The pain this dog has suffered. He cant eat and can barely lick water.

You know i think i have see it all and then i meet the next dog. I have not seen it all, and i will never understand people. This little dog is now fighting for his life…. of wounds at least two weeks old. Thanks to a friend who took this dog without permission and gave him to AHAR. If you want your dog back, i will see you in court. Photos next that will break your heart.
  • We are purchasing and developing a new Rescue Centre to safeguard Animal Welfare…
We are purchasing and developing a new Rescue Centre to safeguard Animal Welfare in Ireland for decades to come, you can be a part of making this happen.

Sponsor a Stable….. seven of the twenty five stables available for sponsorship have now been taken up and our great friend Honor Heffernan is putting together a "syndicate" of 50 friends and family (donating €20 each) to become a stable sponsor. The "syndicate" now has 38 members so just 12 to go and that will be stable number seven gone. This is a great idea and maybe some of you might consider doing this with your friends, family and work colleagues?

All money raised through the stable sponsorship goes to the Purchase Fund for the new Rescue Centre. Businesses or individuals can become a "life-time" stable sponsor for a once-off donation of €1,000. A plaque will be placed on the front of the stable itself acknowledging the stable is sponsored by you or your business.

To sponsor a stable log on to…
http://on.ahar.ie/stable and under the “Note” section give details of the name you would like on the Plaque.

Anyone who has already contributed as a Patron and now wants to upgrade to sponsoring a stable can do so by topping up their donation (for example if you have already donated €300 to become a Patron, donating a further €700 would upgrade you to a stable sponsor.)

We now have 170 Patrons and would love to hit 175 by the end of the month. Should you wish to become a Friends of AHAR Patron with a donation of €100 or more, just click on this link http://on.ahar.ie/patron with all funds raised through the Patron Scheme also going to into the Purchase Fund. Thank you, Tom
