    This is so true –
To everyone who has a horse, whenever life gets hard. All you do is tack up and off you go on a gallop with the wind in your hair and all is forgotten.
Please share to remind people how precious these powerful animals are.

We have had a huge increase in "likes" over the 7 to 10 days so a quick note on who we are and what we do.

Animal Heaven Animal Rescue (AHAR) is a 100% volunteer run organisation founded by Suzanne Gibbons in 1991 and currently based on a rented farm near Gneevguilla, Co. Kerry. AHAR rescues thousands of animals all over Ireland every year including dogs from various pounds all over the country every week. On March 1st we announced plans to purchase and develop an Animal Rescue Centre (a former Equestrian Centre with stables, an arena, outbuildings and 30 acres of land). To date we have raised close to €41,000 towards our target of €100,000 which is required to secure a mortgage on the property.

In addition we are also announced a “Friends of AHAR Patron’s Scheme” whereby members of the public can become official AHAR Patrons by making a donation of €100 or more and a link specifically for this is available on our website (www.ahar.ie) or directly through PayPal by going to http://on.ahar.ie/patron. If people wish, they can also record their Patronage in memory of a deceased relative or pet. All proceeds go towards the Purchase Fund.

All Patrons will be presented with a personal Patron’s Certificate and will be acknowledged on our Patron’s Wall which will be located in the reception area of the new property.

We are delighted to have internationally renowned musician Sharon Shannon hugely involved with our operation “I have been a Patron of AHAR for many years and am fully behind their plans to purchase and develop this new Rescue Centre. The number of animals being abandoned is increasing all the time and I will do all that I can to assist AHAR to keep these animals safe and re-home them with loving owners.”
