Look mum, I found a duck!
This is my own baby, hes called Dottie Pottie.
He was left in a box outside my gate as a 6 week old puppy. He was soaked wet from sweat as the box was lined with plastic.
He was covered in lice and eaten by worms. How this beautiful baby survived, i'll never know. I think he lived on pure love alone. I use to carry him in a knitted hat that I hung around my neck 24/7.
Over time, my vet removed a pint of fluid from his tiny head. He had encephalitis. As a result he is a special needs dog. Sometimes I think he needs his own guide dog, he walks into walls… falls over, everyone who visits AHAR gets hugs/kisses and covered in paw prints by Dottie.
Well today hes two years old. He beat all the odds. He survived.
Happy birthday my Dottie Pottie, im so glad to share my life with you. When times get tough all I need is a hug from you and all is forgotten. xx

Tom here, don't forget tomorrow (Sunday) night at 7pm…the Big Reveal, we will be disclosing the location for the new Animal Rescue Centre and sharing photographs with you that will make you fully understand why we are so excited about this. I visited the property this morning to take some more photographs and can honestly say that it wows me every time!

Georgia here, another picture of Honey, such a loving cuddly dog. She is neutered, vaccinated, and wormed and ready to go. You won't be sorry. Gets on with dogs and children, don't know about cats. She is with me at the moment, but she really needs to be somewhere permanent soon. I love her to bits.

  • Presents from Gail for all the animals and the humans of AHAR.
There was bags of shopping for the house. Everything from washing up liquid to veg, pasta, coffee, beans, snacks, crisps, tea, sugar, biscuits, jars of sauces, rice, and tins of fish. The presses are full and bursting. The sweetest part was from Allsorts girls Gail, Tracy, Sharon and Briony…..
  • Thirty ex pound dogs transported to new homes.
Massive thanks to Gail of All sorts dog rescue who sent her UK transporter yesterday to collect thirty ex death row dogs. Gail took twenty five, Small paws took three and Cindi of Rushton dog rescue took two. Just to explain how this works if you are new on our page…

Yesterday in Kerry pound we met this poor little lad. He has one eye, skin and bone. Matted from head to toe. How could anyone let him suffer like this? And then to put him into a dog pound knowing he could be put to sleep. Very very sad.
Well hes safe here now and booked for a home. This is the first day of the rest of his life. Shame on the person who did this.

Tom O'Shea was out in style today at AHAR in his snazzy car but after he left, it had about a hundred muddy paw prints. He also had his first training day with the horses, i must say we were very impressed. He showed no fear at all. He also gave Honky (the pig) her meds (and you have to be very brave to do this lol) He loaded the ponies in the horse box, fed all the others so now Tom is a fully fledged horsey man. If only all his FAI friends could see him today, they would stick him in goal hes very light on his feet when the ponies chased him lol. We love you Tom ;0)
