Hi all, our fund-raising for the new Rescue Centre is now at €26,120 which is fantastic, thank you so much for your support. We know we have a long way to go but have no doubts we will reach our target of €100,000 so that we can secure a mortgage on the land and outbuildings we have identified.

As usual we want to keep you fully up to date on what’s happening so….

The winners of the two Peter James autographed books were just drawn from everyone who has donated to us and the winners are Bernadette Fleming and Hannah Devoy; we will be in touch by email to make arrangements to get these to you. Congratulations and thanks for your support.

    Coming up….
Wednesday 10th April – Suzanne, Sharon and I will be “live” on Radio Kerry from 6pm to 7pm in conversation with Weeshie Fogarty.

Sunday 21st April – our Sponsored Walk takes place at 2pm from Ross Castle, Ross Road, Killarney. Please make every effort to fill your sponsorship card as this is a major fund-raiser for us in terms of the new Centre.

Saturday 4th May – comedian Jon Kenny live in concert at the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney. Tickets can be purchased online at http://on.ahar.ie/jonkenny or direct from the Gleneagle Hotel Box Office by ringing 064 66 71555.

Finally you can become a Friends of AHAR Patron by going to http://on.ahar.ie/patron

    Cheers and thanks Tom

Georgia here, Some people seem to be interested in the pony and Suzanne has pm'd you all, however she has had no reply. So I am thinking because she isn't 'friends' with you it doesn't show up. Can those of you who have expressed an interest please look in your messages. It should be there just no red dot. I have found this happening quite a few times, Facebook wants us to pay for this service.

What a start to a saturday morning. The girls from Cavan spca had a surprise for Little Mo and i. A 200euro donation to give to my vets so that Little Mo could have his operation today. Anita our vet will take his ulcerated eye out, neuter and microchip him so he will be on the road to recovery for his new home waiting to adopt him.
We took him from Cavan pound off death row if you remember. He was covered in cuts like he was used as fighting bait. He was in such a bad way poor soul.
The girls of Cavan spca had a fundraiser over Easter and they were so kind to share it with AHAR. Well who better to spend it on but Little Mo from Cavan. This is life changing for him. Today is the start of his new life. I hope he never looks back but forward to all the good times ahead. Thankyou Cavan spca from Little Mo and AHAR XX
