Update on the little yorkie x that we got from the pound on Friday 8 Feb. Georgia here. I haven't really a name for her yet except suffice it to say that the name I gave her comes from a lovely affectionate animals name in 'The Wind in the Willows'. She is just gorgeous, loves cuddles and has really come on in the 9 days I have had her. We thought we had a home but 3 have fallen through for various reasons lol. So she is up for grabs now. Won't be ready for another week though. Will be fully vaccinated, is de flead and will be fully wormed.

    12 days left to go,
to March the 1st at seven.
    Some real exciting news,
    from us at Animal Heaven.

It's not that long to wait,
just 12 more "sleeps" for you,
but when there's 6 days left,
we will give you a clue.

The clue it will be cryptic,
you'll have to wait and see,
which means you'll have to work it out,
you won't get it from me!

    Tom (AHAR)

March 1st 7pm, check in with us for some great news.

All have been vaccinated, neutured and chipped prior to being rehomed, I also have been carrying out all homechecks personally and follow-ups. In the past few months I have gained a few local supporters wh…

Tom here, a huge thank you to Mary Knowles and Pa, Karey O'Shea, Jonathan Casey and Aine O' Neill for giving up their time today to help us with the painting of the kennels. Greatly appreciated. An extra thank you to Mary who brought buns and sandwiches and to Suzanne who despite being under the weather provided even more food for us. Not forgetting the team and coffee machine that is Seamus and of course Mark.

  • Yesterday turned into a comedy show.
I woke up at 6am with a cramp in my side and as the morning went on, i got much worse. So when Georgia came we got ready to drop three dogs into the ark to be neutered and then it was on for Tralee to care for Valentina and take all the Kerry pound dogs out of the pound…

Hi all, Tom from AHAR here again. Last night we told you that you would have to wait 15 days (Friday March 1st, 7pm) for our exciting announcement but there has been such a great interest and response that we felt it was unfair to keep you waiting 15 days so we have decided to announce …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. that you now need only wait another 14 days…..but it will be worth the wait – the clock is ticking, stayed tuned!

Hi everyone, had some eventful day today well Suzanne gave us a fright, she was in agony in the morning as we were about to go to Tralee for food for the rescued mare, when we had to bring her to the hospital with suspected appendicitis. Turned out it wasn't. But they kept us waiting and in the end me Georgia got the food — eventually — brought to the equestrian centre and then collected the dogs from the pound. Phew. lol But please be patient everyone Suzanne will get to you. She is only getting home now. Another everyday event in AHAR. hahha
