Tonight a little boy of 9 yrs old was reading our page. His name is Andrew. His mother is Donna Goldsmith and his father is Oliver Coleman who paid for Lassies operation. He wants to be a vet when he grows up so he can help animals. I wonder how amazing his parents are when their son is already so loving at the age of 9. So he turns to his mum and says i want to help too. So Donna said what would you like to do? Andrew said i want to buy some dog food. So he goes to his piggy bank and starts counting….
450eu he counted out. Donna said so how much do you want to spend? Andrew says … all of it.
So Donna sent me a text to tell me.
First of all i nearly dropped the phone… then i had to read it twice…then i just filled up with tears. Tears to know how much dog food that is and tears for having the chance to get to know a little angel on this earth that can be such a cruel place.
Andrew…. i cant wait to meet you, for now all the animals lovers on my page have lumps in their throats and just want you to know how unbelieveable we think you are. If we could all give you a hug it would last forever. I hope your parents are bursting with pride cos i know we all are..xxxxx

Mary Knowles AGAIN…..AHAR has 5602 followers so how about each of us put ONE EURO in an envelope and post it to Georgia Murray…and by the end of the month Suzanne Gibbons will have a nice tidy sum to help more poor souls like Lassie and all the others. It will only cost us 1.55 euro each and the envelope…Im sure Georgia will put up her address… and as Suzanne is so in need of food and vets bills wouldnt it be a great surprise as Georgia wont give her the money till the end of the month…so lets get posting ……………

  • Update on Lassie.
Thanks to Fracesca Dawn Eyers who so kindly offered to foster Lassie. Our vet Tom Brosan said her eye had to be removed straight away as it was causing her serious pain. No wonder she was sobbing. God love her……

I homed my first dog in Kerry pound today. I was taking this little girl home with all the other dogs. Then i met Sarah who came in to ask the wardens had they any pup looking for a home. They said no. So i stepped in and said if i can do a home check now.. you can have this little one. Sarah and her mum fell in love and passed our home check. Another happy ending.

A sad little story that im hoping you can help me find a happy ending.
This is Paddy. Hes 8yrs old, very friendly housetrained and great with all animals but he chases cats. His older owner is waiting for a transplant and is very ill and not able to take care of him. He has paid for him to be neutered and vaccinated today at my vets, and is very sad to let him go. Do you think you could offer him home?
