Mairead gave up her time today to help me with all the pound dogs from Cavan and Kerry dressed for the Christmas spirit, the dogs gave her a great welcome ha ha. Paw prints all over.
This year ive worked with the three nicest pounds in Ireland. Kerry, Cavan and Longford. I have to say im so proud of these wardens. They have broken the mould and helped us change history. Step by step the future is looking brighter for these dogs. In the perfect world, i wish all the wardens were like these amazing people. Just maybe.. sometime soon i hope we will live our dream. That they will all be safe. Till then, lets give credit to Aiden, Pat, Mairead, Brendan, Christy and James. Happy Christmas guys, i know you have made so many of my own dreams come true xx

Its the last day of dogs being on death row for the year 2012.
So for the first time, two jeeps will leave AHAR, one at 6am heading for Cavan pound the other at 9am heading for Kerry pound. At the same time we will take 16 dogs off death row.
This is like "wow" in my world… if this is the only gift i get for Christmas…. its been one of the best ever.
Thanks to Mark Cronin and Mike Murphy who offered to do the Cavan run. Fair play to you. I bet Santy will bring you something nice. I'll make sure of it.
Photos tomorrow, lets hope we are closer next year to saving more in more of the pounds… together xx

I dont even have a name. Im 7 weeks old. My skin is sore. My belly swollen, and full of worms. im hungry, tired and so cold. But most of all, im so afraid.
Today my time was up. Nobody came. I was left in the hands of a stranger…. to die…. until they came. The rescuers. Bright smiles, all love and kisses and a promise i was safe. How many of us would die, without them. The ones that gave up their life for us.
Happy Christmas to every rescuer in Ireland. We might not all work the same, agree with how we each run our centres. But i know we are on the same page, to save as many as we can.
I wish you all so much luck and love for each and every animal you have saved this year. From all at Ahar with love xx
Please share so this post may touch the heart of every rescuer in these hard times.

This is a card we received today from a lady in the UK thanking Suzanne and all at AHAR for saving this beautiful springer spaniel now named Honey. She was a little pound girl and this wonderful lady rehomed her. She donated £100 for which we are very grateful. Honey is now adored and living life to the full in Sussex. Tears in my eyes when I read the card. Am just so delighted. – from Georgia. XXX
