A furry friend goes walk about in Killarney..
Last night John and his mom got the fright of their life when the saw a long yellow animal with red eyes walk into their garden…

Meet Fiona.
When i went to Cavan pound the first dog i noticed was this little girl in the cell, spinning in circles. On closer inspection i saw how her back legs looked like they had rickets. Or double jointed everywhere. I literally picked her up and stroked her till she stopped trembling. I swear my eyes just filled up with tears. How could she be dumped into a pound on death row in this state. I drove home with her on my lap and she has slept in my bed ever since.
Today her results came back from the vet. She was born with hydrcephalus, that explains her large cranium and the fact she spins in circles. Due to this birth injury, it is suspected she was kept in a small area hence her poor muscle tone in her back legs. She is a special needs dog, has a very low attention span. She can not be spayed as it too life threatening. Since i have been taking her for walks, the muscle tone has started to recover. She is the most loving dog, and we are looking for a home with someone or a couple living alone (with no kids, as she needs to stay calm in a quiet household) with one person at home fulltime. She is worth meeting, everyone at AHAR loves her. I would keep her in a flash, but i will meet another one who needs the same attention as her and its sad to say i will need the space. My heart hurts to part with her, all i want for Christmas is to see her loved as much as i love her.

Well she met Stump tonight while walking some of the dogs, and fell in love… ahhh…

Two dogs found in Abbeyfeale..
Male springer, with a damaged eye that needs to be removed. At a guess it had a sharp object punture it and it got no vet treatment. So now its rotting. Poor lad. We will be removing his eye at our vets. Male terrier. Can you please share.

Lots of people are asking about Sunny the brown cocker spaniel. He was rehomed yesterday to a brilliant home. He will be well loved. Sorry everyone else, but thank you all for the offers. from Georgia.
